Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita National University of Journalism, Bhopal was formally inaugurated by Dr Shankar Dayal Sharma, the then Vice President of India, in 1991 and was set up by Act 1990 of the Legislative Assembly of Madhya Pradesh. The University is named after Makhanlal Chaturvedi, a renowned Freedom Fighter, Poet and Journalist. This is a well-known name in the field of mass commiunication and journalism education. a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Indian Universities. Not declared fit to receive Central/UGC assistance under Section 12 (B) of the UGC Act-1956.

The university imparts education through its network of institutes. It has been granted jurisdiction throughout the country. It is not an open university and does not offer distance education. The university imparts education through its teaching departments at Bhopal, Campuses at Noida and network of study institutes spread over the country. The University has proper infrastructure to impart education. The University is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

Today's "sarthak shaniwar sangosthi" in journalism department

Like another saturday Todays sarthak shaniwar sangosthi was organised at Makhanlal chaturvedi journalism and mass communication university's journalism department. today’s topic was "River linking project". All students of master of journalism were present in this seminar and all have actively participated in this seminar.

Program was co-ordinated by third semester student Mr. Gaurav Shukla and Mr. satyendra sir associated as the President of seminar.

Student’s views on this topic are mixed view and no one has opposed this project but their concern was very serious. They show their worries about our ecological and Environmental problems may be arise due to this project.

                Their views on this project are as following

1.      There are lots of issues of migration and other things like Displacement of large number of people.It is just like impossible in these days to displace big amount of people.

2.      All states of India will never be united to share water.

3.      India neighbour countries have their own issues on this project. There will be a great conflict at world level with china, Bangladesh and Nepal.

4.      Our environment will be affected from this project

 

                  Although there are so many profit from this project but government should think about nation’s future and government should take decisions very wise fully.
